OCPA Hosts the Property Tax Savings Expo

In February, the Orange County Property Appraiser’s office hosted a one of a kind event to educate constituents on available money-saving exemptions.

Named the Property Tax Savings Expo, the event was held on February 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Downtown Orlando branch of the Orlando Public Library. The timing of the event allowed constituents to seek assistance with the exemption process on a day that the office is typically closed.

The Property Tax Savings Expo was free and open to the public to encourage Orange County residents to attend. Homeowners were able to file for exemptions on-site, attend an educational seminar on available exemptions, watch a web demo of the property appraiser’s website, and more. Staff were readily available to help with the filing process and answer questions from guests.

Over the duration of the event, the OCPA team was able to help dozens of homeowners file onsite for money-saving exemptions and educate over 120 attendees on available benefits and our online tools.
