#ThrowbackThursday Last year Rick Singh and OCPA staff members took a tour of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. It was just a skeleton back in September of 2013. The center has come a long way since then and we look forward to their grand opening next week!
Last night, we had the pleasure of presenting to the Pine Hills Business Association meeting. The group is a part of Orange County's initiative to revitalize the Pine Hills area and provide resources to local business owners. Property Appraiser Rick Singh presented on a few topics including the role of the office, Orange County stats and Tangible Personal Property.
Today we had our first Property Tax Academy at the Orlando Public Library. We had over 50 persons in attendance ready to learn more about our office and how we operate. Property Appraiser Rick Singh greeted attendees and OCPA department heads gave in-depth presentations in this all-day workshop. Orange County Property Appraiser, Rick Singh CFA added 7 photos.

Earlier today, Rick Singh participated in the 36th Annual Goldenrod-Area Parade organized by the Goldenrod-Area Chamber of Commerce. He was joined by other elected officials and community groups. The parade route started at Aloma Avenue and ended at Goldenrod road.

Rick Singh visits with Gary Pierre at Radio La Voix Evangelique d'Orlando today to talk to the Central Florida Haitian Community about our office and the services we offer.
Earlier this week, Property Appraiser Rick Singh was a part of the ribbon cutting for the new I-Drive NASCAR kart racing facility, which is set to open on December 19, 2014. The facility will include go-carts that can go up to 45 miles an hour, a bowling alley, arcade, and meeting space. This is one of many future projects in the pipeline for the I-Drive corridor that will revitalize the area for tourists and residents alike.
Today, Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh was the keynote speaker at Gray-Robinson's Community Leader Forum. The topic of the presentation, "Orange County's Property Tax Base- A Story of Resilience, Growth, and Prosperity" narrated the growth of Orange County within the Residential, Commercial and Tangible Personal property sectors. The presentation also touched on where we may be headed in the coming years. The audience was made up of Attorney's, Business and Community leaders. Thank you to Gray-Robinson for having us!
Great news for condo/townhome owners! Orlando saw an increase of 10% in condo/townhome sales and an increase in median condo price for the month of September (year-over-year). Read more in the Orlando Sentinel.
