Could this $40 Million wellness facility soon be coming to Winter Park? Health and wellness services have been driving development projects in Winter Park, as well as parts of Ocoee and Apopka.
The cost of renting vs. owning in Orange County is becoming more and more equal, driving many to buy a home, and others now looking for lower rent housing. The apartment boom here, while increasing supply, hasn't done much yet to lower rental rates. What are your thoughts?
A good sign of growth in the tourism industry is the growth in the Tourist Development Tax. The "bed tax" was up almost 7% last August compared to 2014, showing more rooms rented, and higher overall income for hotels!
Big development news! The latest numbers show that so far this year, commercial developers have pulled $1.3 Billion in construction permits, and increase of 71% compared to 2014. Residential builders have also pulled another $3.2 Billion, a 26% jump. Thoughts?
Both Winter Park and Maitland decided to maintain their millage rates. If you live in these cities, make sure to look at the TRIM notice we sent you in August to see what you can expect on your bill from the Tax Collector in November.
Mortgage rates continue to remain low, which is compelling lots of residential real estate sales. Values continue to rise, however, meaning that property value today is likely going to be lower than we will see it next year or the year after.

UCF President John Hitt and his team are continuing to move forward with plans for a downtown Orlando UCF/Valencia campus. This project has the potential for a huge and lasting impact on downtown's future. What are your thoughts? Pro or Con?

The group Efficient Transportation for the Community of Central Florida (ETC) is looking to lobby for an exit from I-4 onto Turkey Lake Rd. Transportation access is sometimes a big factor in changes to commercial property value. What are your thoughts on this possible project?
